The trees lining a nearby neighborhood are tipped the color of wine. The green is so deep, it’s become another shade altogether, offering a hint of autumn on an afternoon drive.
Fall is my favorite season, but I’m not ready for the romance of firewood and falling leaves just yet. I feel suspended in time as this past spring and summer passed like a question that hasn’t been fully answered.

I wrote a small collection of prayers for readers called Prayers for Autumn Evenings, and I hope these prayers will help us walk in step with the season, instead of reluctantly acknowledging it before it’s gone. This collection is a gentle celebration of autumn, and it’s my gift to readers who subscribe to monthly reflections.
