Hello, Readers!
I’m so excited to share that I’ve created something new for you!
As many of you know, over the past year or so, I wrote a series of short prayers for the seasons of the year.
This spring, I gathered all of those prayers together and wrote fourteen additional prayers to create a new digital book, Borrowed Words: A Collection of Seasonal Prayers.
Are you a loss for words when it comes to prayer? I wrote these prayers for you to borrow when you can’t find words of your own.
Borrowed Words is for you if:
- Your words have disappeared, but you still have a desire to pray.
- You want to connect with God in a more reflective and contemplative way.
- You want a more thoughtful, seasonal approach to prayer.
- You’re finding your way back to God and you don’t know what to say.
- You want to pray with more attention to language, natural rhythms, and where God is at work in your everyday.
Borrowed Words includes:
- Three prayers for connecting with God in the rhythm of the day.
- Six prayers for each season: Prayers for Spring Mornings, Summer Days, Autumn Evenings, and Winter Nights.
- Five Prayers for Seasons of Life: such as Words for Overwhelm, Words for Loneliness, Words for the In-Between.
If you have all the words you need right now, perhaps you know someone who needs a few? Borrowed Words would make a lovely gift for Mother’s Day, for your small group, for a writer in your life (we love collecting words!), for your daughter, your kid’s favorite teacher, or your best friend.
I hope this collection of prayers serves you well and help you connect with God in a fresh way.
